Dimensional Paper Sculpture

Project Context

At a private luxury trade show for the world’s most discerning watch and jewelry brands at The Venetian, Las Vegas, the invitation had to do more than inform. It needed to command attention. It needed to feel like an object worth keeping.

The invitation would be sent exclusively to influential jewelry and watch buyers across North America — an audience that encounters luxury every day and expects exceptional design.

The experience begins before the object is revealed

The client, a former senior executive at Richemont, understood exactly what that standard required. She brought Swiss Packaging a single reference point — a Bvlgari invitation — and gave us the freedom to exceed it.

The Creative Direction

Swiss Packaging conceived the entire project: concept, visual language, structural engineering, and production direction.

The central idea was theatrical revelation.

Closed, the invitation presents itself as a substantial architectural object — navy bookboard embossed with the arched colonnades of The Venetian. At its center sits a copper-finished medallion engraved Luxury, functioning as both closure and identity mark.

The recipient holds something immediately beautiful before they know what is inside.

Open, the invitation transforms. Three panels unfold to reveal a hand-crafted interior diorama: a gilded chamber with a layered Las Vegas skyline and a sculptural copper key arch rising from the centre — “Your Key to Luxury” — flanked by printed panels introducing the show and its proposition.

The key was not a metaphor printed on the cover.

It was a sculptural object, standing inside the invitation, waiting to be discovered.

The Creative Process

Swiss Packaging worked with an illustrator based in Luxembourg, selected by the client to develop the exterior artwork. The illustrator had no prior experience translating flat artwork into dimensional, production-ready luxury design.

Swiss Packaging provided complete creative direction — defining the architectural vocabulary, guiding the translation of The Venetian façade into a foil-embossed surface, and ensuring every element of the artwork could be executed precisely at production scale.

The entire piece — exterior embossing, interior diorama, sculptural key, printed panels, and trifold structure — was engineered as a unified object.
